I think we're going to pull out our Christmas Tree tomorrow night. No Thanksgiving Day dinner, like I said but we can still take out the tree come night time. Sofia will be so excited! This year I want to decorate in different colors. Last year we did silver, blue and white. This year, I want to decorate in pink, red, silver AND white. And I want a sweet/candy type of theme. I want to hang cupcake/ice cream cone/candy decorations on it. But I want to try to give it a shot and make them myself. I also want to make a gingerbread house with Sofia. I want to make our own wreath this year too. Lots of things! I hope I can actually get around to doing them though. Since we are on a tight buget this year, I think this will be the best thing to do. I believe that even though we'll be on a tight budget, we can still make it fun and memorable for Sofia. Well... I doubt she'll remember but just make it FUN, ya know? For US too of course! Here are a few ideas I have in mind to decorate around here. I wanted to share with you guys. If you have any ideas, feel free to share.
1. Popcorn Wreath : Seriously?! How cute is that? Simple and looks pretty! And hello? It's cheap! Yes, y'all... right now, I'm all about CHEAP so this is what I'm doing. =)
2. Felt Candy Ornament: How cute is this? And it's made out of FELT y'all? FELT. Who'da thunk you could make such cute things out of felt? Making these too!
3. Cookie Cottage: How adorable is this? I wanted to make one with Sofia last year but she was still too little. This year she's more into it and can take directions better? So we're giving a shot! I'm excited! I've always wanted to make one. I don't remember making one when I was young? =/ I have a horrible memory though.
4. Pretty Felt Food Cupcake: Tell me that is not C-U-T-E??!! The link is to the shop where you can buy it from but I'm going to try and do these on my own for our tree. Wish me luck! Also, I googled "Felt Cupcake Ornament" and clicked on images and found a TON of stuff for ideas. I found one where the cherry was replaced with a gingle bell. Can you say cute? LOL Yes, I'm like a little kid. hahaha Here's a different one that's cute as well. =)
5. Peppermint Swirl Christmas Tree: I fell in love with these. Again, you can find many ideas through google images. So if you're interested in doing some on your own too, give that a whirl. I heart Google. Seriously.
Oh and I forgot to add this one to my little collage but I can't pass on sharing this one. It's so cute as well!
Cute, huh? =D
What is your theme this year? Colors? If any. Or do you you just do ol' school, traditional stuff? I'd love to hear about it.
And well... I'm sure everyone is busy right now with Thanksgiving preparations but really hope everyone has a safe one! =)
