Peaceful day.

How do you like the new look? I'm still working on it, so please don't mind the mess. I'll get it just the way I want it in due time. Today we decided to drive up to Cloudcroft. The weather was perfect so why not take advantage? Plus, Sofia and I are at home all week and don't go out much. We were dying to just go do something! Hubby was all for it so we loaded up into the landrover and headed over there. Sofia hadn't had a nap so she fell asleep on the way there. It's a good 30 minute or so drive. It was perfect. She rested and we got to enjoy the drive in peace. LOL The air is so fresh and cool there. It's amazing! You can smell the pine in the air. Mmmm! Love it. We took Sofia to a park but she didn't really want to play on the slides and stuff. She wanted to explore the forest instead. She was like "Dora the Explorer"! LOL She really was! She had US huffin' and puffin' behind her. She was so cute because she was like the a forest ranger. LOL She would ask "Which path should we take? This path or that path?" LOL Kinda like Go Diego, GO! hahaha! Hilarious! She wore us out! I'm just glad she had a good time. That's all that matters.

After our little "exploring" we decided to go to their little coffee shop and buy some hot chocolate. It was nice little homey, cottage type looking place. I got a "Peppermint Hot Chocolate". OMG - SO good! Sofia loved it too. They had a little area with books and toys for kids so she was highly entertained. I read her a few books while we were there. Great!
After that, we went to their little "downtown". They have a bunch of cool little shops. A lot of Antique shops. Which BTW, I was so stoked because I found some really good props for shoots there. I can't wait to go back!

Here are some pictures I took during our little outing at Cloudcroft. Enjoy!

  1. Looks like you all had a fun, fun day! I love little family trips. It is a small thing but means so much. We need a regroup time with my little family. Maybe I will have to plan another little trip really, really soon. Btw, love the pictures!
