10 Things I LOVE about November:
1. The beautiful colors on the trees. They contrast so beautifully against the blue sky. It's a gorgeous sight to see!
2. The cooling weather. I love warm weather but dang it gets so hot here! I was sick of the heat, to be honest. It's nice to be able to open windows and let fresh air into the house.
3. Having to wear a jacket/sweater/gloves etc. when you go outside. Oh yeah! Boots! How can I forget? =)
4. Being able to drink Hot Chocolate or Apple Cider in the mornings or at night when it's cold. It's the perfect drink to warm you up.
5. Seeing Christmas decorations in the stores. (Right now there are alot around here anyway! It's so exciting!)
6. The sun rising earlier. This makes me want to get up earlier and lets me take advantage more of my day. Sofia can sleep in and I can have some alone and "me" time before she wakes up.
7. Not worrying about having to water my flowers/plants outside. I don't have to worry about it until the spring! yay! LOL
8. Christmas movies being released! LOL I'm a sucker for Christmas movies. If it's about Christmas, I want to watch it around that time! LOL
9. Sales in stores and shopping! Not that I have the money to do any damage but it's fun to see all the sales going on! (Black Friday anyone???)
10. And last but not least - being able to use my electric blanket! I set it to pre-heat while we're getting ready for bed and when we slip under the covers, the bed is all nice and warm for us. It's like our bed gives us a BIG WARM WELCOME hug! LOL hahaha! I know, cheesy! But true! Do you use one?
And I think the only thing I can complain about this time of year is....
The fact that it gets dark EARLY! It stinks! I love daylight. And now that the sun goes down earlier, since my vision is bad at night, I can't drive at night. So I have to make sure I do all my driving before sunset. If not, then hubby has to drive. Hate hate HATE that. But oh well... there are more things I love about this time of year so I'll take the good with the bad! =)
I don't have an electric blanket :( but I think I will consider getting it. My mom has one, so I'll see if she can let me borrow it LOL. You gotta be careful with them though cuz I've heard that some have caught on fire! eek!

Beautiful pic! I love falling leaves.. just sucks to have to scoop them up.
I also don't like how it gets darker sooner too. Oh well :P
Oh... good heads up on that, girl! About the blanket catching on fire. I try to have it on a low setting all night. Just enough to keep us warm because with our body heat combined, we get really hot easily. LOL Mmmm...hot soups. YES! When it was Winter time in JAPAN (while we were stationed there) and there was snow on the ground, freezing as heck, we'd head to this RAMEN house downtown and get warm that way. OMG... SO good. Ahhh... memories! You brought those back to me when you said that for some reason. =)

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on a lot of things you love about Nov., except I've always liked to water my plants, but now that I don't have a garden I miss it. But hopefully one day I will have my very own. :)
