It was fun!

So the get together with the commander was nice. It was just a little social, meet & greet type thing. I almost didn't go. I'm not the most social person on this planet to be honest so when Hubby told me it was to socialize with people and just chit chat, I groaned. It's not my forte. LOL And the fact that it was Sunday and we'd been in our pj's all day didn't help either. I was draggin'! Hubby even told me, "Well... you don't have to go if you don't want to. I can just say you weren't feeling good or something but I have to go." LOL That made me snap out of it quick. No... I wasn't going to let my hubby all alone. Every one who went had their significant other with them there. It was a big deal! I know having any gathering what-so-ever with the base commander at their house is a BIG DEAL!

Their house was gorgeous! Huge and beautifully furnished. WOW. I want a house like that. On base! LOL They had delicious desserts and drinks. They even had little fires running outside so we could roast marshmallows. It was awesome. I drank some warm apple cider and roasted marshmallows outside with the hubby. I'm glad we went. Although I don't like to socialize I think I did great. LOL I enjoyed it and laughed a lot. Yes, I'm glad I went. =) I wanted to take pictures but I wasn't sure if it would be rude because it was his house. And I didn't see anybody else pulling out a camera so I didn't want to be the one everyone looked at in shock! LOL I didn't want to get tackled by security or something! HAHAHA I'm kidding. There was no security but you know what I mean??? LOL
