So my appointment went great. It was so good to actually talk to a specialist and not just a "general" doctor who has no clue what the hell she's talking about. Sorry, yes, I'm a bit bitter towards my primary care doctor. So much so, I'm really considering switching doctors. It was nice to talk to someone who actually stopped what they were doing during the appointment to look at you in the eyes when you're explaining to them your symptoms and concerns. My other doctor looks at her computer screen the whole time and it feels like I'm in a room talking to myself. My nephrologist says my kidney function is the same. It hasn't gotten worse, so that's great news. Everything else is fine too. Like my liver function. I did take the opportunity to ask her about if I was crazy for even considering that I may be developing heart disease. She says "Oh... no not at all a crazy idea. It is possible." THANK YOU! lol AMEN! So I'm not crazy. She quickly suggested I get a heart echo and wear a holter monitor. So now I have to go back to my lame doctor and hope that she'll put the order in so our insurance will pay for it! Crossing my fingers! She has the power to make it happen or not. *sigh* So yeah, we'll see how that goes.
She did give me the green light on the Metformin though! So I have to make another appointment for that so I can get the medication prescribed. Appointments! Appointments! That's my life it seems! LOL I was very happy with how my appointment went though. I didn't leave feeling like it was a waste of my time like I usually do.
After my appointment, we decided to go have dinner at Peter Piper Pizza. We hadn't had that in a while. Sofia was SOOOO excited when we got there. She loves to go play at the archade and games section. She made a little friend there and didn't want to leave. LOL We managed to get out of there without her throwing a fit. =) And during our dride back, home she fell asleep. She was pooped! Here are some pictures I took.
On our way to Las Cruces:
Passing by White Sands. One of my most favorite places to go to around here.
At Peter Piper Pizza. She played while we waited for our order....
Oh! But pizza's here!
Come and get it SOFIA!
How many pieces do you want???
After we ate, and she played some more...
Aww... Time to go back home...
You're awfully quiet? You sleepy??? Of course the answer is NOOOOOOOOO....
And before you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (yes I had to google that! haha!) she's out. Holding her balloon one of the staff at Peter Piper gave her. =/
And now we're home. Chillin like villains...
So glad things turned out fine with your visit! Good luck TTC!!!!
