Worth mentioning...

Hi everyone! I'm still alive! I just haven't been in a blogging mood lately. I've been keeping myself busy while Hubby's been gone. That's the only way I've survived these past 3 weeks. Sofia and I have gotten into a little routine which I hope sticks after hubby gets back. I've been having her nicely tucked away under the sheets by 8 or 8:30pm. I'll just have to stick to it. It all depends on me. I can do it! These past few days I've been taking Sofia to Grandma R's house in the afternoons. She has her front yard fenced in so I don't have to freak out when she gets too close to the sidewalk. She loves it. She lets out a lot of energy and that helps us both. haha Yesterday I took her to the Zoo. Yeah, we have a zoo. LOL It's small of course. I mean, decent sized for being a city zoo. They have a playground inside so that's the main reason I went. It's fenced in too so this makes me feel a bit safer. It's only 2 bucks to get in. Not bad. We get to see wild animals AND she gets to play in the playground. *hehe* I took us some snacks and we ate at the tables there. It was a nice little Mommy & Me date. Anyway... other things worth mentioning:

I upgraded the memory on my new iMac from 2GB to 4GB. I can't believe I actually ran on only 1GB on the old one. OMGGGG! No wonder I had to reboot like 20 times everyday because it'd freeze on me! LOL And photoshop always crashed on me. Yikes! It's nice to not worry about running out of memory now. On a sour note though, my external memory crashed AGAIN. Stupid piece of crap. *sigh* Lost a LOT of pictures and videos of Sofia... BUT I don't fret because I have uploaded a ton of pictures to flickr and lots of videos to Vimeo. It's all good. The world won't end.

I ordered this one DVD movie I found online. It's a movie my sister and I used to love my Mom to rent for us when we were little! I swear we used to rent that movie EVERY time we went to rent movies. We never got tired of seeing it. So when I found it online, I just HAD to buy it! I received it earlier this week and OMG. Brought back so many memories. I miss being a kid. I miss all the time my little sister and I spent together... awww... I love old 80's kid movies. Don't you?

There is an apricot tree growing in our backyard! By our bedroom window. It's blooming pretty flowers right now. It's gorgeous! I've been taking pictures of it like crazy.. Supposedly I should have fruit to eat off that tree by June or July. Can't wait for that!

I've been on Flickr a lot lately! It's getting addicting! I need to stop. LOL

I discovered this new artist called "Veronica Orozco" with this song and am loving her style. So vintage. Very cool. It's been on repeat in my itunes a lot lately.


Hubby gets back today from San Antonio, TX. Yayyy! He's driving here so I'm just hoping and praying he has a safe trip home. I talked to him last night before going to bed and he was telling me how much he's going to miss the food there. (Because you KNOW he took advantage and ate at all of the places that used to be our favorite). He said, "Want to move back here?". "No FREAKIN' way. Uh-UH." I replied. Don't get me wrong, I love San Antonio, but the weather is what does it for me. Way too humid. So no way. But never say never I guess... He said he bought Sofia and I some gifts there. Weeee! Can't wait to see what he brought for us.
