Out with the old, in with the new!

OMG. Have I neglected my blog or what? I could lie and say that I've been busy and while it is true, I always find a way to make the time but I just haven't been in a very "blogging" mood. But I'm making an effort. Not only for you because I like you... LOL! But for me because I remember how much I used to blog about my life.... About hubby, Sofia, the pets, and I love that I can go back to the archives and just read. Stuff that I had already forgotten about. But thanks to my blogging, it brings back those special memories and makes me smile. I'm going to make more of an effort.

This weekend we were busy! Saturday we took on the task to do some spring cleaning. And let me tell you, the only way to get spring cleaning done is one day at a time. Next week I want to work on that spare room in the house. That's a wreak too! The garage alone took us a whole day. It was a MESS, you don't even know! We had stuff still in there from when we first moved into the house. Then we had a yard sale in October and what wasn't sold we were too lazy to pack up again and give it away or whatever and it just turned into Chaos in there. Everytime you walked in there it was like a slap in the face. LOL Anyway, now it's clear, clean and organized and I have sore arms to prove it! LOL And I didn't even do all the hard work! I think I spent a lot of the time just making sure Sofia didn't get into anything that would hurt her and entertaining her... I was huffin' and puffin' and OMG. That just gave me a reality check. I need to lose weight! Seriously!

I've gained weight and it doesn't feel good. I am always one to go up and down and I know when I have gotten to that point where "Ok. Enough's enough. Look, you don't even fit into your pants anymore. You need to lose weight!" Soooooo... while Hubby and I sat down for dinner I told him that I needed his help. I need him to work with me so that I can stick to a workout and not give up. I've tried walking Sofia in the stroller and I do a few time a week but we live in an area where the streets get pretty busy during the day and there's a LOT of stray dogs (I know, I know EXCUSES! But for real! We've almost gotten attacked by a dog twice!) I'm so terrified of them, I carry MASE in my purse in case I ever need it! LOL We agreed that when he got off work, he'd call me so that Sofia and I could head to the base gym and that way he can watch her and I can work out. There's actually a "family workout" room. They have a little play area blocked for the kids full of padded matts, tunnels, blocks, etc. Even a bathroom and a little table for them to sit down and color or whatever. I hadn't actually checked it out until today. I peeked in, there was nobody on the workout machines so I hopped on the threadmill and just observed the room. I like that they have their own bathroom too. Awesome. I liked it a lot!

So yeah, I worked out! I jogged/walked on the threadmill. It felt so good. I dreaded going but once I was on it, I got pumped! I am going to work out 5 days a week. Off on the weekends. And see how that works out. I need to shed off this weight I've gained post pregnancy. It's freakin' crazy how I actually LOST about 20lbs while pregnant and gained it back after I had her! LOL Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? And no, I didn't have any morning sickness so I don't blame it on that. I just wanted to eat healthy for Sofia when she was inside me and I lost weight I guess... I need to eat healthy again. NO EXCUSES! I have to. I have to. Know what? I am. Damn it. I am. =)

[hidepost]Here are a few pictures of my beautiful princess today. She looked so gorgeous today. Well, when doesn't she? LOL She's my baby, I'll never get tired of saying that. She actually had a BIG white bow on her hair but she pulled it out by the end of the day. These pictures aren't perfect but I don't care. They are not staged. That's for sure. LOL

  2. you go girl I know you can do it cuz when you set your mind on sonething there is no stopping you.I'm here for you it you need anything support or just need to talk. I was doing good eating healthy but for some reason since I've been off work I've gotton lazy with the healthy food and working out,lol. I am doing better with the cleaning so that's some of my workout,lol. So I know you can keep it up you are the woman

  3. I love the photo. I can't see from the photo that you need to loose weight.

    I know the feeling though. I feel like I am walking around in a fat suit. It stinks. I'd do anything to loose weight except diet and exercise.

  4. I understand you 100% chicky!! However, I know you can do this!! Wow, if our gym was empty like the one you go to I would probably be motivated to go... however, that's not the case. It's always packed and their is always a wait to use any cardio machines?!! That's why I decided to buy my own threadmill. I really should use it more often...but, I haven't given up on it or myself!! What can I say? I'm a work in progress!!
