Daddy's home!

Ok, I know, he's been back home for days now. But I wanted to share some pictures. They are for registered members only to see, so sorry stalkers. =( LOL! The day that Daddy got back, Sofia was taking a nap. Joe was so sad. He wanted to see her reaction when he walked in the door. Maybe next time? haha He jumped in the shower because he drove all the way from San Antonio to here. He was vewwwie skinkie! By the time he got out, Sofia woke up. He saw him get out of the bathroom but he was in his towel so he quickly ran into the room to change. LOL! Sofia and I were sitting on the couch and she just watched him walk into the bedroom. Kinda curious but got distracted by the t.v. A few minutes later, Joe came out of the bedroom (dressed this time, thank you very much!) and said "Hello, Precious..." She just stared at him.... kind of unsure. I mean, it had been 3 weeks! As he got closer, she leaned into me... he asked for a kiss but she wouldn't budge. She stayed away from him as a matter of fact. This made Joe sad but I told him to just let her be. She just needs her space and give her time. He just wanted to scoop her up, give her hugs and shower her with kisses. But I know my baby. That would have freaked her out. Sure enough... not even an hour later, she was going to him, reaching her arms up in the air so he would pick her up, gave him a hug and a kiss. She had the biggest smile on her face. And she was laughing. She realized, "Oh! This is my Daddy!" She was following him EVERYWHERE he went. And if he went into the bathroom when she wasn't looking, she'd start looking for him all around the house and whined a bit. LOL Poor thing. She DID miss him!

She hugs him at night when we're all in bed. *yes, she still sleeps with us and we like that, for now!* She squeals when he gets home from work. She takes books to him so he can read them to her... it's really cute. This weekend we decided to go to Cloudcroft to check it out. See if Spring was in the air there.... Prrffft! Not AT ALL! There is still SNOW on the ground and it's cold as a MOFO! I didn't think it was going to be THAT cold so I didn't take a thick jacket for myself OR Sofia. Just a sweater. The ride was a little long for her so she wanted to stretch her legs so we HAD to get off the car and let her walk. We stopped at a park *which was DEAD! lol I wonder why?* We literally got off the car and wanted back in but we walked around for like a minute or two. And ran back in the car! haha I took a few pics. We drove to a nearby cafe shop there and bought ourselves something warm to drink. That's where I took the picture of Joe. We'll have to go back when it gets warmer and there's more green and flowers. A lot of cherry trees up there though. I can't wait for the Cherry Festival this year. *hehe*

Anyway... so he's back. Things are back to normal. But it won't last that long. Joe heard he's going on another TDY. THIS month! AGAIN! Can you believe that crap? Augh. I know. Well... at least it's only for a week but then he's possibly getting deployed in June or July. For 6 months I think. Don't know where for sure yet. Iraq, Saudi or Korea. WHo knows. *sigh* I don't want to think about that yet. But oh well... Anyway... just wanted to share pics. She's getting so big. It's a little bitter sweet feeling.
