{ The winning lips }

Remember that lip contest I won? Well let me tell you how it all happened. We went to the base mall to return something. While hubby did that, I went to the makeup and perfume counters to look around. Just browsing you know? The lady working in the section asked me if she could help me with anything. I said, "No, thank you. Just looking..." She said, "Ok, would you be interested in participating in our lip contest? You could win a basket full of products. Just pick the lipstick of your choice and leave your lip print on this little card and put your name and phone number in the back so we can contact you in case you win." I hesitated. I swear, I wasn't going to do it. I was carrying Sofia on my hip, I wouldn't have been able to put her down while I did this, PLUS I never win, I thought to myself. I said, "Ummm... no... it's ok... but thank you." She said, "Are you sure mija, doesn't hurt to try. Come on!" I hesitated again, I didn't want to do it but I thought, "Oh, ok, fine. Whatever." SO I picked the lipstick shade that I liked, kissed the paper and put down my name and number and she wished me good luck. I left. LOL As we were leaving the store, we saw this lady making her little girl do it. Her little lips on the piece of paper looked so cute! I thought, "Oh...there's the winner!" haha

Fast forward to a few days ago. I get a call on my cell phone. I didn't recognize the phone number so I didn't pick up. But they left a voicemail. I thought that was weird. So I check it and it's the lady at the store telling me I was the winner of the lip contest and that I could stop by and pick up my prize whenever I wanted. I could NOT believe it. Seriously? I won??? lol So crazy! I never win anything! haha I called my hubby all excited and told him I had won and he was all, "Pshhhh... of course! My baby has the best lips!" haha He's all proud that I won too. Which is really cute. I always have thought my lips were ok. But not contest-winning worthy! LOL I think I just got lucky. The lady said 3 guys were the judges. What were they smokin? hahaha! Anyway... I thought it was the lancome counter. It was a combination of the Clinique and Estee Lauder counter. If you've ever been to a Base Exchange, you will understand what I mean. It's small and all the counters are combined. So I got a lot of Clinique stuff. I love them all. Specially the lip glosses! I got a lot. And the perfume. OMG, I love that perfume! Talk about luck. February's been an awesome month so far!
