I didn't get a chance to post my Day 7 picture. We were so busy all this weekend. Plus, you know, I have a 15 month old who hangs on my leg all day. LOL So yeah... didn't happen. I guess that just means I have a life believe it or not. LOL We went to Las Cruces on Saturday after all. I say "afterall" because we always say, "Oh... let's do that this weekend! Yeah!" and we end up staying home. haha Usually that happens because we wake up late, got things to do at home, take forever to actually jump in the shower and get ready... Sofia needs her naps, etc. LOL Never fails. But we managed to stick to our plan and head out. It was a short trip though. We just went to check out the stores at the mall really quick and then went to eat Pizza at Peter Piper Pizza. Yummm... We got home before the Sun wen't down. When we got home, we cleaned up the house and the Penn vs. St. Pieere UFC fight began. We ended up going to Joe's friend's house though because we had problems purchasing the fight through our cable service. It sucks. We are so switching to another cable provider soon. It's not the first time we have had problems with them either. It's getting old.
Today was the superbowl, of course, as you already know... We didn't do anything major. I'm not a HUGE HUGE fan but I do glance over at it while my hubby watches it. My nephew came over and watched it with the hubby. I'm glad he did. Cause I don't have the patience to sit there that long to watch that stuff. haha We did some grocery shopping today too. I made the menu for this week and I'm really excited. I'm going to try to follow some recipes for chicken online. I'm going to be brave and make Tortilla Soup, Mango Chicken Curry, and Roasted Garlic Chicken to name a few. We bought all the ingredients today so I'll let you know how they came out. Wish me luck! *crosses fingers*
Update on my cam. Ok. So oh gosh...I wish I could just buy my new DSLR right now because the longer that tax refund takes to get here, the more I think and think and think and look at cameras and I just get really undecided. I took at look at the d90 and OMG. I'm just WOW'ed by it. Seriously. I checked out the videos it takes and OMG. To die for.
Sooooo... I may go ahead and get the d90 instead of the d80 and give up a lens. I'll probably just get the body and a good lens to go with it. Yeap. AT this moment, that sounds like a winner. But you know me. It could change. haha The camera's video option seems to lose focus easily... but the clarity is outstanding. I'm drooling over it and I've heard the images are great at high ISO. So we'll see... *fiddles fingers* I do have to say though that my handy dandy Nikon Point and Shoot is filling in the void nicely. I've been very happy with the images I've taken lately. =)
Anyway... enough camera talk! Have a wonderful Monday!
I just wrote a reeeeeeeeeeeeally long comment and forgot to do the math problem, so when I came back it was erased *doh* Long story short: I want a new camera, too. Either a Canon 5D or a Nikon D300. But we have to get all of the medical bills paid off because they add up fast for four people. And my hubby likes (well, doesnt really LIKE) to wreck his four wheelers and motorcycles resulting in injuries bad enough to have to be seen in the ER. Crazy guy ~ gotta love him ;) And I think those recipes sound yummy! I'm going to start planning out our menus for every week or two and then buy the stuff. I'm going to start buying/making healthier choices, it's just convincing my two guys to eat it... dont have to worry about my girl because she's too young to eat *ha, ha* Ok, I'll stop rambling now!
ReplyDeleteHopped over from a link on TwitterMoms. You have some wonderful photos. Love the textures you used on the last few photos.
ReplyDeleteLas Cruces! We were just there this month on a cross country trip. That part of the country is so pretty.
A D90.....I am sooo jealous! I will have to wait for my camera possibly to my birthday. Which is so far away.
ReplyDeleteLove the color and texture in your picture!
Hi girlie.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a fun weekend. I haven't played with my Nikon too much lately, lots of things going on and you know I get lazy. LOL. I do take it with me just about everywhere, just need to get a real camera bag so it's easier.
Can't wait for you to get your camera, I'm sure the pics will be more than amazing.
I didn't care to watch the Super Bowl, I decided to hang out instead...

Sounds like the weekend went well, good for you! As much as I like Nikon and the D90 I'm actually going to get a Sony Point and Shoot for video and keep my D50. I used to have a Sony and the video in that camera is outstanding. I gave my camera to my sister and she loves it. She shoots videos all the time.
ReplyDeleteOhhh the D90! I was looking at that but pricey So I'm going for the D80. We don't get any tax mula back...booohooo! At least we didn't last year, we had to pay.
