Those genes.

I meant to post this back when my Mom came over to visit us in NM right before Christmas the first time, remember? She stopped by here on her way to Mexico. That day we were in the kitchen having a conversation about pictures when out of nowhere she says "Oh, I have something for you." I thought, "Wheee! A gift!" haha Well, no, even better! A picture! I had seen the picture before when I lived with her. But umm... obviously that's been a long time ago! I forgot who was in it. She hands me the picture and I observe it. I go through the faces and ONE specific little face stood out! I immediately yell out, "Sofia!" LOL We both laughed. She proudly asks, "Doesn't she look like me???" I was just dumbfounded. All I could say was, "Wow. OMG. Yes, she does... Look BABE!" I show it to my hubby and his eyes got big too. He says, "Wow, she really does look like grandma." LOL No joke. She does. The picture was a little too large for my scanner so I was only able to scan parts of it so I just cropped my Mother out. Here she is. Who's who? You tell me. haha

My Mom has some strong genes, I tell you! We obviously inherited her eyes. I swear it's amazing to me how much Sofia in some pictures look a LOT like Hubby but in others looks just LIKE ME. It's amazing having someone who is half you and half the love of your life. Most amazing feeling ever. Seriously.

ps. Oh gosh... I'm starting to miss my DSLR! LOL I miss capturing Bokeh! My little point and shoot takes nice pictures but it's just not the same! Next month can't come fast enough! For real!!!
