Happy Monday to everyone who reads my blog! And to my blog stalkers too. Hello! I love you too! How was your weekend? I hope it was wonderful. As was ours. What did we do? Nothing much but CLEAN! Man, it's so hard to keep up with a house when you have a toddler. LOL It's like, you finally catch up with some cleaning only for it to get dirty again in 1 min! haha It's all good though. That's what it's about.
So check this out. I've been wanting to do this forever. But never thought I could actually commit. Because it's hard for me to commit to something that entitles me to do something daily. Without fail. BUT I'm going to be brave and give it a try. Because if there's one thing I love to do the most is? Guess? Yes, you guessed right! Taking pictures! So why not? I am not sure where I should put these pictures. Maybe I'll have to create a photoblog but in the meantime, they'll be over at my Flickr account and here. Wish me luck!
This picture was taken in our backyard. I took Sofia outside to play. After I had cleaned up doggie poop! LOL She loves to play with the rocks. I set my camera down as she walked away and snapped a pic of her. It focused on the rocks but I like the result. It was obviously taken with my point and shoot camera. I'm without a DSLR till late Feb or early March till I get my new cam. I'm so excited because I've FINALLY decided on the one I want and on the lenses to go with it. Yes, I said LENSES. More than 1! Eeek! I should bite my tongue though, huh? I'll jinx myself! But yeah, what I've decided on is buying a semi-cheap camera body and buy a pair of good lenses. I still feel that I've got a lot to learn and although it's tempting to buy a brand new PRO cam, there's really no need for that just yet. I shoot pictures for fun. For my family. For me. So a simple body and awesome lenses will work for me. I'll be more than happy. So I'll keep you posted. I had thought about switching back to Canon because I was thinking of buying the Xsi body since I was really happy with the Xti last year but I really do love Nikon. So Nikon it is. Most likely the Nikon d80.
Anyway... keep you posted! And anybody else want to be brave and take pictures with me for 365 days? Awww, come on now! You can do it! Just-do-it.
I started the 365 project on Jan 1st. It was a good way to get out from behind the camera. My project is a picture of Sophia and I everyday. I have a slide show on my side bar on my blog. Check it out and let me know what you think. And I love the first photo!

I have committment issues but life can get in the way. I'm still doing it I've just missed a few days. You know the Nikon D90 takes videos. I'm still in love with my D50 and I don't think I can ever part with her.

ReplyDeleteAbout the d90. Yeah, I considered it but it's WAY too pricey right now. Plus, I already have a little P&S cam to use for Video. I'm probably going to get the d80 (since it's dropped in price since the d90 was released) and buy good lenses to go with it. That way in the future when I'm ready to upgrade (Most likely the d300) I've already go my little collection of lenses ready to mount. Ya know? But I have heard great things about the d90 though. Yeap. =) The d50 is a great camera too. I love how clear Nikon makes it's pictures. Yours are great.
