Anyway, there is a point to this post. While we were at our hotel room on Friday, Hubby came home to grab some stuff we had forgotten. The base hotel is literally 1 block away. We could walk. It's on base. So convenient! So hubby leaves our room and comes home. While I'm back at the hotel room waiting, I realize I want him to bring something else for me. And this is what happened next.
[Ana picks up cell, dials Hubby's cell phone number]
*ringggg...ringgggg...ringgggggg....ringgggg...ringgggg....ringgggg*
[Ana's directed to voice mail]
[Ana hangs up.]
Ana: Augh! He never answers his phone when I call him! Grrrrrr...
[Ana dials HOUSE number cause she knows he's THERE]
*ring... ringggggg*
[Hubby picks up]
Hubby: Hello?
Ana: How come you never answer your phone when I call???
Hubby: You didn't call me.
Ana: Yes I did. I just called you on your cell phone and you didn't pick up.
Hubby: No you didn't.
Ana: Yes, I did...
Hubby: No, you didn't.
Ana: Joe, I just told you, I called you on your cell phone and you didn't pick up.
Hubby: No, you didn't.
Ana: Joe, yes I did. I know I called you! Why do you make it sound like I'm out of my mind and I never called you? I DID call you but you just didn't hear it or your phone didn't pick up.
Hubby: But my phone never rang.
Ana: Right. But I did call you.
Hubby: No you didn't.
Ana: *sigh* YES, I did.
Hubby: Anyway, did you need something.
Ana: [very aggravated at this point] Yes, bring back my camera bag. (LOL!)
Hubby: Ok.
Ana: OK.
Hubby: Hey...
Ana: What?
Hubby: You didn't call.
[Ana hangs up]
[CLICK]
*dial tone*
The end.
MEN!
I will call people and when when I get their voicemail I will hang up unless it is really important message that I have to give them. The return conversation goes something like this ...
ReplyDelete*ringgggg…ringgggg….ringgggg*
Me: Hey! What's up?
Them: You called. What's up?
Me: I called you? When?
Them: Earlier. Your number was on my caller ID.
Me: Oh. I don't remember. If it was important, I would leave a message.
Not that they aren't important to me ... I don't see a point in leaving a message if I just called to randomly blab.
This is so left-field from your post, but I had to post it because it happens to me all of the time.

Ha Ha... Marriage. Phone calls fall under the same catagories as - opening the car door, ladies first, taking the trash out without being asked, putting the toilet seat down, - well you get my point. But we love our men anyway.....

LOL Alan (my b/f) does this to me all the time. I'll call him, it'll go to his voice mail thus my number SHOULD show up as a missed call and later, when I finally get ahold of him he'll tell me I didn't call and I'm like dude, CHECK YOUR PHONE! lol :)

ReplyDeleteMan that is the most annoying thing ever! so I completely understand what you mean when you call & they don't pick up & then say you didn't call them *rolls eyes*.. that actually happened to me yesterday, except he did see I called several times & then he finally calls me back. I'm gonna play that game too! ;)
