Well of course! Us! Did ya miss us? Meh! Probably not huh, but it's ok! We missed you! LOL Ok, well I did. Sofia doesn't care about anything except her boobie. That's all she cares about. haha! But I did miss my bloggy and you guys. The mini-vacation was nice. Short and sweet! Packing to come back home is always the part I dread the most. Bless my hubby's heart though. He always helps me repack Sofia luggage (which is HUGAMONGOUS might I add! 2 times larger than mine! LOL) and my luggage. He is the sweetest hubby in the world. He squeezes in everything perfectly for me. *hehe* The drive was great. Thank goodness the rain decided to arrive a day later because that would have been BAD! We got hit by rain Monday. And you guys know me, I hate thunderstorms...
they scare me! I turned into a scardie pants! LOL Thunderstorms are just "bleugh!" They bring nothing but trouble. They make my dogs get mud on their paws and (even though I towel dry them before they come in) they leave dirt and paw prints all over the floor, they jump on the couch (even though they're not allowed to do so!) and the rain causes horrible floods and car accidents! Who ever says they love rain can.... go... umm.... dance in it? LOL

Hubby came to pick Sofia and I up at home during his lunch and took us to eat Peter Piper Pizza! It was delicious! Made me forget about the rain for a little bit! Cheered me up for sure... but then we had to go pick up the license plate for our LandRover at the dealership. On the way there (on the freeway) we saw a bunch of car accidents. We saw a pileup of maybe like 6 cars... and further down a couple more, on both side of the freeways... We actually saw this couple who had just crashed. The driver was sitting there like he couldn't move his neck or something and his wife was by his side looking like she was telling him NOT TO MOVE. Ahhh... so sad! And then, what really makes me MAD is that you have still have people driving by these accidents FAST!
Speeding!
IDIOTS! You'd think that would be a little reminder for them to slow down... like, "This could happen to you! Slow down!" IDIOTS!

Anyway... Sorry to bore you to death with that or didn't mean to depress you... but geezzzzz... seriously. Life is precious people. Life is the best gift God has given us. Why risk losing it like that? Your life can end in an instant. Just like that. And yet, people are so careless... It's so sad how the world is. Joe and I were talking about this show we were watching on the discovery channel the other day. Unfortunately we started watching it towards the end but it was about how the world (planet earth) will be after human civilization becomes extinct. How due to the damage we're causing to our planet, the humans will disappear and how it will look and evolve afterwards. It was INSANE! Anybody watch it? Anybody know the name? I want to record it next time it's aired. Anyway... it's pretty freaky. It's crazy how worse and worse nature is becoming nowdays. It made us sad because we realized, "Sofia's gonna have a rough life". The world's not getting any prettier or nicer. In fact, it's getting worse. And just the thought of Sofia having to deal with all that, after we pass away, makes us both sad. We won't be around forever. It's a reality. And reality sucks. Life is a treasure. Value it as such.
Sorry for the depressing post. Maybe it's the weather that did it to me. But here are a few things good things I want to share that make me happy!
*The pictures attached to this post were taken in Waco, TX. I took them the day we took Sofia out for a walk as a BIG GIRL in her stroller. It was a beautiful day... and looking at them make me feel peaceful. I love nature. I can't wait to move to our next base and experience nature there.
*The fact that I am going to start doing my little part to help save the planet by using my own bags to put my groceries in when we go shopping. I bought some of these
Green Bags at Target today. (5 to be exact only cause they ran out! I wanted to buy 10). It makes me feel happy and it makes me smile. If everyone did it, it'd make a big difference I think. You should consider it too. Hubby's even liked the idea! Such a good hubby he is! *hehe*
*I colored my hair! Went lighter! Summer's on the way... I have to buy another 2 boxes and recolor it because 1 box wasn't enough and I have dark patches on my hair still! hahahahahaaaaa
*Hitting the gym hardcore. I want to fit into that cute polka dot bathing suit again! (Although I was pregnant when i wore it last year! LOL)
*We might be getting new furniture soon. (Living Room furniture to be exact because it's time! We've been married
almost 10 years and we've
never bought new living room furniture. When we first got married it was either the bedroom furniture or living room furniture and I wanted to sleep in a nice bed so bedroom set it was! I can't wait!
*Sofia's party date in Cali is official! It's slowly coming together! I can't wait to go to Cali! I can't wait to see my family, and meet a few of my online readers in Cali.... (wink wink @ LadyM, AnaBanana and Vero) *Ana crosses fingers*
And last but not least... some tunes for y'all! Will this make up for the depressing post, no? Enjoyyyyyyyy! Happy Tuesday!

Well I 'm glad you have a nice vacation and that you missed the rain. And the post wasn't depressing it just gave you a realization of things, nothing is ever wrong with that. I'm glad Sofia is doing good getting out and about in her big girl stroller. Love the pics, hopefully in your visit out to Cali you'll get the good weather we've been having, the sun has been out alot lately feels like summer is trying to creep in early.

Welcome back!! I was actually checking nearly everyday to see if you had updated lol, so yeah I missed your posts. ^^
ReplyDeleteGood for you for buying those green bags for the grocery shopping, good move. ;) Yay for that! I don't think we have them here where I live but it sounds like a great thing to do; a small thing CAN make a big difference if everybody decides to do it, I believe in that.
Those photos you took are beautiful!!! <3 I love to look at them.
I'm listening to the songs now, woo!
welcome back!
ReplyDeletepretty pictures! People drive so crazy here in Houston! It's not even funny. People are just crazy period.
I've been thinking of getting those bags too! so, but how do you use them? do you just take them with you to the grocery store and when they're bagging, do you hand over your bags? or do you use them while you're shopping? I don't know how to use them!! LOL How are you gonna do it?
dark patches? LOL lets call it the "marbled" look! LOL I hate when that happens! when I went darker, I had the lighter patches and my hubby was like, "you going for that animal print look or what?" haha.
ohh! new furniture! nice! we got a new set for christmas. I left you a note on my pic in flickr about the fabric.
laurie's last blog post..test.
Thanks for the birthday wish.. :-)
ReplyDeleteI hate storms like no other, here in FL we always get tornado watches, and I get so scared!
I hate accidents, I remember seeing one where a helicopter came and the people had to be air lifted out, must of been pretty bad.
People down here do NOT know how to drive! There is always accidents, it drives me nuts. A lot of DUI's are issued too, people who drink and drive are the most stupid ones of all!
Love the photos, they're beautiful!
Char: I'm hoping it stays nice and sunny the whole time I'm there. I am running away from the rain here so I'll have to do that sun dance! LOL
ReplyDeleteSara: You need to move here then! Plenty of all that stuff for ya to get your fill! haha
ReplyDeleteThank you Denise! Yes, everyone should buy them and start using them. They're so much better too.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Not as cool as yours, but I'm trying! hahaha And I'm talking to you on IM about this as I type so... *wink*
ReplyDeletePeople on the east coast don't. I noticed that too when we lived in Maryland. They are CRAZY drivers! Sheesh! You know what though. Crazy drivers are everywhere! Stupid people!

ReplyDeleteI love the rain!! And I watched that show the begining was interesting on how domesticated animals are so dependant on humans...it was insane to watch it. I will look up the name of it. Anyway... WHOO for Cali...and wohoo for furniture... i love to shop I dont care what it is. My hubby works for a major furniture store out here and get 30% off on EVERYTHING! Oh lordy...you know i'm there at least once a month. And on the bags..I bough some from the grocery store ( stater brothers) and I have about 5... I use them ALL the time. Staters gives you $1 everytime you use them so you know I'm in lol. I want to color my hair too but mine is SOOOO BLACK! uggg I think I will have to go get it done at a solon... which sucks couse you know thats gonna cost mucho $$$. Anyway enough ramble.... I missed you glad to here you and sofia are back safe and sound =)

Hi Ana
ReplyDeleteI know how much you love bloggers and I have one to share with you. I don't know if you are familiar with http://www.untanglingknots.com. She is a wonderful blogger who went through serious trial and tribulations that only mothers like you and I can understand. I plan on releasing a pink balloon on April 14th in Ava's (her daughter's) memory. If you read this blog, bring tissue.
