What a title, huh? LOL Those are words I repeated yesterday a LOT. What do you all call going #2 in your house? Poopie? Poop? Pooh? Number 2? LOL In our house it's called "Caca" dang it. Caca is CACA and there is no cute way to go about it. It's stanky, it's gross, it's CACA. LOL And Sofia knows it as CACA. So hey, this whole potty training thing... NO FUN. Seriously. OMG. It's a lot of work. I started to potty train Sofia a few months ago. I "attempted" to anyway but got very discouraged and just gave up. But it's been bugging me for a while now you know? Remember that feeling you used to get when you would get home from school? And you would go play and forget about the fact that you should do your homework first but you'd rather play? I always played first and left my homework for last. But while I was playing, I couldn't fully enjoy myself because in the back of my mind I was like, "Ohhh... I gotta do my homework... I HATE IT...!" It was the worst feeling for me. LOL Well that's how I felt with Sofia's potty training. So I slacked and just got lazy. She's turning 2 next month and now it's really time. Like, for real. NO SLACKIN. I talked to my sister online and she was telling me how sucessful she's been with my nephew. And that just reminded me that I HAVE to potty train again. And NOT give up! She gave me lots of tips and even sent me a link to a "Potty Training" chart I could print for her. And she also linked me to a place where you can print out stickers for the charts! Neato!
Anyway.. all the potty talk with my sister helped because Sofia went potty. We spent all day at home. Her in her undies only. A lot of "Do you have to go PIPI, Sofia?" "Do you have to go caca?" She refused everytime. As I much expected. But the dedication paid off. She went! So I know she's READY! It's not going to be easy. I'm sure it never is... I'm new to all this but we're not giving up! I hope that by the time Joe gets back from his training {6 weeks} that we're close to if not fully potty trained. Maybe I'm aiming too high but doesn't hurt to try right? I'm so proud of her. She did wonderful today. She did have an accident in the kitchen. She held her bladder for a long time but that's my fault too. I forgot to ask her MORE often about going pipi too. I gotta remember she has to Pee in her toilet too. Not just poop. BY the way... something I did different this time was put the removable potty seat onto our toilet. I think that made more sense to her since she's seen US use it. So... we're sticking to that. Ahhh... what fun! haha
Here's a video I wanted to share with you guys. I took it while we were doing some potty talk. She went about 30 minutes after this. She was on and off that thing all day. haha She got a handful of fishies to celebrate. Yayyyy for CACA! hahaha
