"Moon! ... Let's GO!"

Sofia is obsessed with the moon. She's always been fascinated by it ever since she was a baby. I mean, she's still a baby but technically she's a toddler but when she was an actual BABY, she showed a lot of interest and amazement towards the moon. There's this Chinese restaurant we go to in town? It's called "The Rocket Buffet" And outside the restaurant, they have a rocket on display. To go with the name or something? LOL! I don't know... but when we drive down the street that restaurant is on, she knows on what side it is and about what time we'll drive right by it. When she finally sees it, she'll yell out, "Rocket!" hahaha! And then just the other night, we were watching some cartoon that showed the moon and stars. She yells, "Rocket Momma!" But there was no rocket in the cartoon? So how she knows that rockets go to the moon, I have NO CLUE! Anyway... today while we had lunch together, she starts talking about the MOON. She points up at the ceiling and says, "Moon, Momma! Outside!" So I go along with her, you know? "Oh yeahhhh! The moon's outside! But we can't see it right now. We have to wait till it gets dark... Yeah..." She nods... and yells, "Moon, Momma!" So I say, "The Moon? The moon is high UP! UP! UP!" and I raise my hands up to the ceiling. She finds this amusing... then she says, "Moon... LET'S GO!" I laugh. "You want to go to the Moon???" She replies, "Si! SI! SI!!!" lol That was the most adorable thing ever. Those conversations I know I'm never going to forget. Sometimes I wish we could have a built in cam recorder! LOL {sigh}
