7 Months

Sofia turned 7 months on Tuesday. OMG, yes, I know! 7 months old already! 7 months ago today I was SOOOO ready to pop her out. I was waddling all over the place and could hardly breathe. Everything I did made me get short of breath cause she was pushing on my insides! LOL Anyway, she's doing GREAT! She's right on target with everything. Even her weight! That was something I was very concerned about. See, I see all these babies about her age or younger, who are chubby CHUBBY little things! I was beginning to think, "OMG, am I not feeding my child enough? Am I starving her? What am I doing wrong?" I expressed all these concerns to the pediatrician and she calmed my fears. She said, "No, don't worry. She's PERFECT. All babies are different." I told her how she still doesn't want to drink much formula or take the bottle for that matter! She said, "She's probably getting full of the breast milk." She said I'd know if she wasn't getting full. She'd be crying and stuff. So ok. I'm doing good. I think that's a worry for all us Mommies huh? Are we doing things right? I know at least, I always worry if I'm doing things right or wrong. Sofia had to get shots that day after her appointment but since I scheduled it so late, by the time we got out the immunizations clinic was closed. That meant I had to go back the next day (yesterday) to get her shots. Gah! This time it was only me and Sofia. Joe couldn't take the time off for that. He wanted to go in with her when she got her shots. I went in with her the last time (3 months). She was a trooper. She cried of course but she got over it quick. I rubbed her little boo-boos for a few minutes and then gave her tylenol and she was great for the rest of the day. I wish my baby would stay baby for a long time. Why do they grow up so fast..? *sob*
