Post Christmas Update.

I know this is going to sound crazy but I'm kind of glad Christmas is over and done with already! It was nice but the best part of this Christmas for me, honestly, was being able to see my Mother & Stepfather and have my little brother spend Christmas and New Year's with us. That's been the best part for me. I missed my Mom terribly and although she only spent a day and a half here, it was a true blessing to get to see her again. I cherished those hours like you wouldn't believe. I love how we can have long conversations and it never seems like we get enough of each other. I guess that's how I feel because we live so far away from each other. She continued her trip to Mexico and left my little brother here. It's been awesome. I love having him with us! I'm sad he's leaving soon but hopefully he can come back in the summer.

On Christmas, Sofia got some pretty awesome gifts! We took a video of her waking up Christmas Day to see all her gifts under the tree but I haven't gotten around to uploading the video. It's pretty long. I felt like I was in the kitchen for days cooking! I made Ponche NavideƱo for the first time ever and OMG.... not to brag... but DANG! It came out delicious!!!! It was sooooooo good! I asked my Mom how to make it while she was here and she gave me the recipe. My house smelled so good while it was cooking. MmmmmMMMM!

I also made Tamales, Chiles Rellenos, Rice, Bunuelos... it was a lot of food (for just us) but it was nice to have leftovers to eat the rest of the week. LOL We didn't do anything special but just spend time together... we watched movies, went for a walk.... cracked jokes... shared stories. Just good fun. =)

Here are a few pics I took starting Christmas Day up to today. I took these with my little brother's iTouch that he got for Christmas from my parents. I've fallen in love with the instagram app on it. So badly so, I want an iTouch now! LOL I'll be sad when he takes it with him back to Cali. haha! I'm taking advantage as much as I can in the meantime. Look:

Neato, huh?

  1. It's funny, everyone seems to have that same feeling, including me: Christmas was great, but can we move on, already?? lol I'm a little wiped out and a LOT overspent, so I'm really ready to get on with it.

Photos are great, as always :-).

    Have a Blessed New Year!

  2. Yes very neat Ana. I love the app too. Before checking that one out I bought Hipstamatic and it's just as cool, at least for me. :) Love my new iPhone 4.

Sooo how do you make the ponche, looks good and it reminds me of sangria.

PS/I am beyond glad Xmas is over. I am ready to start anew.
