Sorry I've been slackin' with the updates. My family decided to come visit us last minute and so I was a little distracted with them. My Mom, StepDad and my youngest brother drove here from California. Perfect timing for them because they got to ditch the crazy rains going on right now over there. They were only here a day and a half but that's ok, I definitely enjoyed having them here. Specially my Mom, of course. I love spending quality time with her. She taught me how to make "Mexican Ponche" (a traditional Mexican holiday drink) and how to use my sewing machine! That's what I'm most excited about! EEEK! I can't wait to start on some projects and stuff. Yay..! She drove out to Mexico early this morning and I'm happy to report she's only about 5 hrs away from her final destination. With all the horrible things going on in Mexico, I'm just happy they haven't run into any problems. I've been praying for them since before they left! LOL My brother decided to stay with us for Christmas though. So he's staying here till the beginning of January and flying back home. I'm so happy to have him here. He's so much fun and great company. He LOVES Sofia so much and she loves him too. Yay for that!
Anyway... few things I want to share with you:
A video of Sofia and being silly on the mac with iPhoto. =D

Gosh, my daughter is so SASSY! She gets this ATTITUDEEEEEE... sometimes she embarrasses me quite a little around family and friends. I guess it's that toddler stage of hers. If she don't like you, she'll let you know it. She doesn't care if she hurts your feelings. And when she thinks Momma is a dork or NOT FUNNY, she sure lets me know it. LOL Gotta love kids' honesty! LOL My Mom laughs when I scold her for her attitude because she says "Oh sweetie... she reminds me of you. You were the exact same way..." So it runs in the genes for sure! I can get an attitude but the difference is I'm older and I know when it's appropriate or not. LOL Poor Sofia... worst thing to inherit from me. LOL
We finally watched "Despicable Me" and we loved it. I didn't think I'd like it but I did! Sofia absolutely LOVES it. She'll actually sit through the whole movie in a daze... LOL I love the little yellow "cousins" of the main character, GRU. They are so funny!!! Have you seen it? Did ya like it?!
Like I mentioned earlier, my Mother taught me how to use my sewing machine while she was here. I have a very small and simple machine for starters. She bought it for me a few years ago, when I was pregnant with Sofia and it has been sitting in the box since! LOL Lately though, I've gotten this itch to start sewing and doing crafts and stuff. Maybe because now that I don't have my camera, I am focusing on other interests. LOL I found some you tube tutorials on how to use the VERY same machine I have. Check it out if you're interested:
Neato huh? Now I know how to use it! Now I just need to tackle some fun projects ;)
I know I haven't talked about Christmas much but I can't wait! I am not expecting any expensive gifts from the hubby this year. Finances have been a little crazy this time of year due to our vehicles giving us issues. But Sofia's hitting the jackpot! And that's what matters. It's all about the kiddos this time of year, ya know? I've been pretty lucky though! One of my friends online sent me a box with prezzies in them to open on Christmas. I can't wait to open it! The box says it's from "Photojojo" so oooooooh... can't wait to see! And I've won 2 blog giveaways! LOL Talk about LUCK! *hehe* So Christmas is pretty awesome, if I say do say so myself! =D
Oh! And before I forget... did you guys watch the Lunar Eclipse? I tried to stay up but I was too tired! My hubby woke me up at 2am'ish to go look at it but it was still white/grey and I was soo sleepy and cold that I looked up at it and was like "Oh... nice. Ok... I'm going back in..." LOL I wish I could have stayed up to see it but oh well... I'm gettin' old. I can't hang like I used to! LOL Anyway, if you were anything like me, thank GOODNESS for people who recorded to share with us to see. Check out this time-lapse video of the eclipse. Awesome. Feels like I was there! haha!
And with this, I say Goodnight because I'm so tired right now I feel like I"m going to pass out! Later..!
I feel your pain! My three-year-old is the SAME way lol. And she always waits until we're in the store to start giving me attitude!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas!
