Fun in the sun!

I love the sun... I really do but it's too darn hot during the midday to do anything around here. Now I'm not sure I don't miss the rain. LOL I wanted to show my little brother the Zoo we have her in town. It's not HUGE but they got some decent amount of animals and they have a playground in there and tables to picnic so I thought, why not? My brother wanted to go to the pool too so we did both. We went to the Zoo during the day *around 12pm* . It was so hot! Good thing I took drinks for us because we were sweatin' like dogs! And I loaded up on the sunscreen too. If there's anything that I MUST always carry in my purse, it's sunscreen. SPF 70+ too! LOL Anyway... the Zoo was fun... towards the end there I wanted to run back to the car, blast the AC and get us in our cool come. And ummm... we did! Sofia crashed on the short drive home and napped for almost 2 hrs. When she woke up, we ate and headed to the pool.

The pool was fun too... I think we figured out the PERFECT time to go. A little after 3pm because most of the kids are leaving with their parents and the place gets a little more empty which means we have the pools to ourselves. *hehe* I called the hubby at work and asked him if he wanted to meet us there. Guess what I realized as soon as he got there? That I forgot his swimming trunks at home so he couldn't get in. *doh!* I felt so bad... but it actually was a good thing because thanks to him, we got some pictures of us in the pool. And I rarely come out in the shots. I wish I had a photog friend around here who wouldn't mind doing it for me. =(
