Showin' mother earth some luv.

loveearth
Remember before I left to Cali how I bought some flowers and attempted to grow them in my "garden"? Well... they were doing ok. I even bought a Cilantro plant and was using it for my salsas. OMG, sooooo delicious! Well, my hubby's not a "gardening" type of guy so needless to say when I got back ALL my plants were dead. I was soooo bummed! While I was in Cali, we went to visit one of hubby's aunts who has a gorgeous GORGEOUS garden. I fell in LOVE with her house. OMG'osh... straight out of Martha Stewart and stuff! LOL She gave me some seeds from her garden so I could plant some of the flowers I fell in love with. I don't remember if I told you guys but my little brother drove back with the hubby to spend some time here during his summer vacation. He loves plants just like I do so when I told him I wanted to grow a little garden and plant the seeds that were given to me, he was the first to say, "Well come on, let's do it! I'll help you..." How awesome is he???

So... we pulled out some bags of gardening soil I had left over and we went ahead and planted them in the front of our house. I really wanted to plant them in the back yard but the dogs live back there and they pee all over the place so THAT was out of the question. We've been good with watering them. I honestly didn't think they'd grow because the soil I had was a little ROUGH. It was some organic soil I got. But we checked a few days later and guess what? We saw little green leaves sprouting all over the place. We planted the seeds Joe's aunt gave me, and a box of wild flower seeds I had. I can't wait to see them bloom! They are growing so nicely! I also dug out the "cilantro" bulbs from the dead plant and am hoping it'll grow again. Same with my gerberas. Or was it tulips? I forgot. But yeah, it'll be a nice surprise when they finally bloom in all of it's glory. I'm going to be so sad when my brother has to leave. Who's going to garden and take care of my flowers with me? Certainly not Sofia... She likes to kill them. She finds it amusing to pull them out by the root! LOL

And just because... for no reason really, wanted to share with you this song I've been jamming to since yesterday. This is an OLD OLD song from Thalia. My GOSH, I went high and low on the internet trying to find this cd and finally found it. These songs remind me of when I was 16 and in love.... *sigh*

  4. Glad ur gardening, its so relaxing to me. I go out after dinner when its not so hot and water, weed and fill my bird feeders. I have a lil bench outside I can sit on in the AM with coffee. I love flowers. BUT my sis/mom kinda killed a few when I was on vacation so going to buy some more later in the week. lol
