Wow! This weekend just flew by, didn't it? At least, it feels that way to me. We really didn't do that much this weekend really. Except go to the Annual Cherry Festival on Saturday. Which BTW turned out to be, EH. I guess this year the cherry trees got frost and so the cherries had to be brought from other places nearby. Normally you can pick your own cherries off the tree. Boo. That's the fun part! But at least it got us out of the house, right!? haha I forgot to bring my sling along so Sofia was throwing a fit everytime I put her down to walk. She wants me to hold her all the time but she's starting to get heavy now! Ahh... I just need to keep the sling in the car from now on. Most kids her age want to take off and run but nope. Not my baby. She suffers from "mamitis". She has to be with Momma all the time or she freaks out! =/ Hmmm... sounds familiar. Mom says I was the exact same way with her when I was little. LOL Genetics you think?
Anyway, Saturday was fun. Sunday *Father's Day* we just chilled at home. We're pretty broke right now, unfortunately. We're still trying to recover from the cost of our vacationing in California. At the time we were like, "We'll be broke but it'll be worth it!" and believe me, it was well worth the time we got to spend with familia but now it sucks. LOL We're stretching every little penny we got. At times like these I wish I had a full time job... But I know it's only temporary. So we're just hanging in there. At least we got food to eat! *hehe* Needless to say, I didn't get anything for the hubby but I did let him be lazy all day. Literally. LOL He laid on the couch from morning till almost 6pm. Dang! He doesn't kid when he says he just wants to be a couch potato! LOL But it was well deserved. He's been working 14 -16 hr shifts all last week. They had a huge exercise on base and he would come home extremely tired so although I wanted him to get off his bum and help me with Sofia and cleaning, I tried to be chill about it. After all, it was his day. =) I'm glad he enjoyed it. Did you guys do anything special for your hubby or daddy on Father's Day? Before I had the baby I really didn't care for it, you see, my biological father and mother got divorced when I was 11 months old so I know who he is, but I don't know him as a person. He never made the effort to be in my life so ummm... yeah. But now that Sofia's here, I try to make it special for Joe because he's my baby-daddy! LOL =D
I like this picture!
ReplyDeleteWe're recovering from vacation too. :-(
Awe no cherry picking!? We had a cherry tree in our back yard in Germany. It produced so many and they were so yummy. The girls had fun picking. The tree hung over the neighbors side and I told them to pick cherries also. I think they sold them, shysters! We R now recovering from our Vacation money wise too. I need to go back to work! Fathers day the girls got daddy a card and we took him to a nice dinner at Disney World. It had seafood his fav and he ate two things of Oysters! He loves that stuff! My dad I got him a shirt that said #1 dad before I left.
