Family Chisme.

I love Gossip. Specially "family" gossip. I know, I'm horrible, right? But you know there's always that cousin or tia or second cousin who you just don't like or don't get along with. And so when you hear something about them, you just can't wait to spread the juicy gossip. Well... my sister informed me yesterday via text that one of my cousin's is pregnant. We used to be really close when we were little but as we got older, we kind of became distant. She was a very... how do I say this delicately- liberal girl? My aunt wasn't very strict with her or any of my other cousins. Our Mom was very strict with us and we followed her rules to the T. One time my Mom came and told us that she got upset because she had heart that one of my cousins had said that my sister and I thought we were better than them. Too "goodie too shoes". What the hell? That really hurt my feelings. It wasn't that we thought we were better than them, it's just that my Mom was strict with us and we weren't allowed to attend parties, spend the night at friends' house and much less go out on dates with guys and stuff... ANYWAY, I think that's why we kind of just started to part ways...

My little brother and I were in the living room. A little bored. Not having anything interesting to talk about...

Me: So did you hear about who's pregnant?
Andres: [not very interested] No. Who?
Me: [we'll call her] Maria.
Andres: No... [in disbelief] again?
Me: [laughs] he last one was born about 10 years ago.
Andres: [laughs] oh that's right, huh?
Me: Yeah... she was due I guess...
Andres: How'd you find out?
Me: Karen told me.
Andres: Who told Karen?
Me: Cynthia told her. [my baby sister]
Andres: And who told her?
Me: [We'll call her] Juana I guess.
Andres: No... I don't think Juana told her. I think my Mom told her and my Aunt Jane TOLD HER and then SHE told Cynthia.
Me: [laughs] oh yeah... you're right. Probably.
Andres: [laughs] you guys are bad....
Me: Why???
Andres: You guys spread chisme like crazy.

muahahaha... *ahem* WHO ME?! Never...!
