Wahhh!

Remember I told y'all my Mom was arriving today from Cali? Well... guess what? I got a text around midnight last night from my little brother saying, "We missed the train, Sis. I don't think we're going. We're driving back home." I was still up cleaning and stuff. I thought, "Oh this has to be a prank." He's a big jokester like that. Last time they drove here, he texted me from the immigration check point and said, "Sis, we need you to come to the checkpoint and pick us up. We forgot out documents at home." I was already getting ready to drive there when he texts me again and says, "Just kidding!" So ummm... yeah, I wasn't falling for it again. But something told me, "Call Mom just to make sure and scold that little BRAT!" But as soon as my Mom answers the phone she says, "Guess what, Mija? We missed the train." My Mom wouldn't joke like that! I felt so sad!

I guess they didn't arrive early enough. They got there JUST in time. They saw the train from the parking lot when they arrived but that train was out of there when it said it would. Not like planes. LOL It was out of there like a bullet. SO they missed it. SO freakin' SAD. Seriously. Like I almost wanted to cry. I wanted my Mom to see Sofia sooooo badly! I love to see Sofia get that "grandma love" from her biological Grandma you know? So it really bummed me out. She tried to find another train coming out this way but nope. No train. Again, so so sad..! I was pretty bummed all day. I didn't even feel like working out. I almost didn't but thankfully I have a hubby who supports me and gets on my case when I don't want to go. I left in a really nasty mood. I didn't want to work out! But as soon as I got there and did my cardio, I felt better.

No Grandma till next month I guess. That's when we drive over there. I told this to my Mom when she said she was sad too but she replied with "Yeah, that's another month without seeing Sofia." =( *sniff sniff*

Oh well... things happen for a reason right? We'll see her soon.

  6. Aww that sucks that they couldn't make it. At least you'll see her next month though. Man, that's so true about working out when you really don't want to & you feel better afterwards. I was in a bad/sad mood on Monday night & my bf told me to go work out cuz it will make me feel better & it helped a little I must admit.

Sorry I haven't commented lately.. been so busy & then my power cord wasn't working but I got a new one in the mail so all is good now!

  8. I'm late as usual. I'm sorry that your mommy couldn't come. It's hard living far away. I live in the midwest and my mom lives in the South and my dad's in Arizona so I can relate. I'm sure by now you're in your usual cheerful mood!

  10. :( we might have that issue when we move to the bronx. it's like 2 1/2 hours from where we live right now and even farther for both sets of grandparents. my mom will prob suffer the most, tho, since she cant really travel a lot with my dad having dementia.
