I gave in to Twilight.

So I know I'm kind of late on this. I didn't want to give in because I thought "Twilight" was going to be some lame @$$ movie. Specially because it semed like it was aimed more at the "young" crowd, if you know what I mean? Well, as you know, hubby was off all of last week. We rented a LOT of movies from the "redbox". And it just so happened that the day that we decided to rent some for the first time was the day that the twilight was released on DVD. So it was available and nothing else seemed interesting to me. I got to pick one and so did he. Twilight was my choice. I thought, "Oh what the hell... Let's see if it lives up to all the hype." Well, it did. Hubby even enjoyed it! We both can't wait to see next movie. Now I want to read the books. One of my awesome readers was so kind as to give me the first book. It's in the mail! I can't wait to get it! Thanks again, girl! Anyway.. I liked it so much, I have the movie now and I downloaded the SAGA of all audiobooks AND ebooks... AND the soundtrack and SCORE! hahaha! Yeah, I'm hooked. Have you seen it? Have I been the only one who's waited this long? What did you think of it? Or if you haven't watched it, why? Like I said, I waited because I thought it was going to be some "teenie bopper" movie but it actually was very good. =)

ps. Now I'm trying to convince my sis to watch it too! LOL

I hope New Moon with more $$$ in the budget would be awesome, ok now I'm being a little crazy :P btw I'm team Jacob and you?

  2. YAY!!!!!! I'm so happy you loved Twilight!!! LOL. Girl you need to read the books & love them! It goes into soooo much detail I think you will be even more hooked.

You know me, I'm a Twi-hard for real. I can't wait to see what you think of Twilight & New Moon, etc.

You should read my blog post about meeting the director of Twilight if you haven't read it yet.

  3. Oh my gosh. GIRL, you have to read the books. Honestly, the movie was CRAP compared to the books! LOL. Don't get me wrong, it was fine for what it was, but the books are about 90 thousand times better, and a lot of the little things you probably didn't pick up on in the movie make sense after you read the first book. I luckily didn't get into it until all four books were out (and read them all in about 3-4 days lol)... I wouldn't have been able to stand waiting and waiting for the next one lol.

  4. No my dear...your not alone!! LoL!! I haven't gotten into the whole Twilight craze. Why you ask? Well I don't know...hubby and I aren't really into it? It's funny though, because those are usually the movies that we love!! HAHA!! I guess since we've had the movie for a while now we can watch it over the weekend. Hugs!!

  6. Oh wow! I can't wait to get the book then! Yeah, it seems like in movies, they always leave things out. They should have made it a 3hr movie! LOL Like "Harry Potter".

I remember when I watched "Memoirs of a Geisha", the book was WAY better. And they did leave a lot of things out.

Woohoo! That book can't get here soon enough! I was this close to caving in and buying the book at the book store the other day... but I knew that copy was coming in the mail from my friend so.... ahhh!

  7. EEEKKKKK! I love Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series! I got hooked last year. I read the first 2 in a month, could not put it down! Then her 3rd book came out and read that then was sad because I had to wait for the 4th. It was TORTURE! lol When the 4th book came out it was a mixed feeling. I loved parts but others I was like hummm wish it would of not been so much drawn out on a particular subject. Not saying too much. So the movie came out and I dragged hubby. It was.....ummmmm....cute? I mean the books are WAY better. The movie was a bit to clean for me. I mean come on they are vampires. And I wish the Cullen family would of been sexier (like the bad Vampires) and less make-up. lol The Bella and Edward actors grew on me. There were too many loop holes in the movie. But it was low budget. Hopefully with New Moon in November it will be better with more money going into it. Enjoy the book! I have all 4 and they are floating around the school. The teachers are borrowing them. I told Monique to read them but she is not into them yet. About 1/2 the 6th grade girls at school have a Edward fan club. You think I can join? LMBO!

  8. I'm not too sure how I got connected to your blog, I think through a flickr account that I enjoy about New Mexico....anyway I had to laugh about the Twilight thing. I too just saw the video this week while on a fieldtrip to our state capitol, Sacramento. It is so dark, and I don't mean that metaphorically. It was hard to see what was happening.

I truly understand why teenage girls love this. It's all that bad boy thing, sort of the Romeo/Juliet story where everyone warns the girl that this is all wrong. girls eat up that stuff. I'm waiting for the Twilight proms to start.

  9. haha. I visit here often and I never seem to be able to relate to any of your posts. I do regarding Twilight. I felt the same way you did. Thought it was more of a teeny bopper type flick. Ended up really emersed in the love story and Im actually looking forward to its sequel!
