Our Easter was wonderful... last year she was about 5 months? or 6? So we didn't do anything for easter with her. She was too little... I just took a picture of her with bunny ears. Remember that?

My, how she's grown! Huh? Anyway... so this year we decided we'd take her to her first "official" easter egg hunt on base. You know... with other kids around? Expose her to other children! But... looks like it wasn't meant to be. We planned to take her Saturday Morning but it poured that day. It got really windy and the temperature dropped to chilly degrees! So that was out of the question obviously! I was so bummed! I really wanted her to go and see the other little kids picking up eggs and stuff... but looks like it'll have to wait till next year... oh well. Sunday though, we had planned an easter egg hunt of our own for her at Grandma R's house. The weather was on our side. We woke up to sunny blue skies and the temperature was comfortable enough for her to wear her easter dress we bought specially for the ocassion. Hubby's family who was here visiting got an Easter basket together for her and got her all sorts of goodies... I'm so glad that they were here to experience it with us. It was a blast! Sofia had so much fun too! I put cheez-its and goldfish in her eggs because she can't have candy yet. She got so excited when she saw them come out of the egg. LOL! We all had bunny ears on and took pictures. So glad it turned out great and that it didn't pour on us... Here are some pics I wanted to share. =)

Our familia left today back to Cali. I was a little bummed. Sofia got used to them. She lovedddddd them so much! But we get to seem them again next month. So it's ok... Hope you all had a wonderful EASTER!

ReplyDeleteThe weather was bad here on Saturday too. I took the kids to the city hunt and we didn't stay long enough to get a single egg. :-(
Awww, looks like the enitre family had a great time!! Sofia's dress is adorable!! Cute idea to put cheez-its and goldfish in her eggs. Great memories!! =o)
