So, yeah, L.A.

[hidepost]Me[/hidepost]S o we got here fine. All in one piece! Thank the Lord! LAX was not that bad. (Surprisingly! haha!) We got our luggage pretty quick, headed to Avis to pick up a car and I ran into some old ex-coworkers. eh! That was aight. Except one of them told me I hadn't changed at all but was just a little "chunky"! LMAO! Gotta love people and their honesty! It's like, "Uhhhh... yeah! I just had a BABY, lady? Duh?" haha! Whaevah. After that, we went to drop off our luggage at my BFF's apartment and afterwards headed to my Sister's house. You can imagine the reunion! LOL It was all hugs and kisses. First thing out of her mouth when she held Sofia was, "OMG, she's sooooooooo little! So lite!" LOL She can't get over how little she is because she looks ALL BIG in pictures. We hung out, ate, caught up on each other and called it a night. We were tired. Especially Sofia. The time difference is what really is getting to her. But she's doing a lot better now.

Happy Birthday BIG Oscar!

MeSunday, I met up with 3 of my bloggie friends. Girls that I met through my bloggie. (Shout out to Ana, Vero and Mayra!). We met up at Plaza Mexico in Lynwood. (I think? Or Southgate? Not sure! LOL) THAT was fun. I wasn't nervous at all. I've known these girls for a good little while now and I felt so comfortable arranging to meet up with them there. My BFF came along of course. She's my partner in crime. haha. We got there first. Then Mayra showed up and it was like, "OMG! Hi!" It was so nice to see her in person. She's so sweet, she even brought gifts for Sofia. About 5 outfits!? LOL She's so spoiled! Thanks again, Mayra. Mayra is just as I imagined her. Pretty, sweet and funny! Just as she reflects herself through her blog and pictures. It was like, we'd known each other for ever.

Mi Amiga

Not long after, La Vero showed up with her kiddos! She cracked me up because I didn't see her coming towards us but she said something like, "That HAS to be Sofia!" and I turned around and knew it was her even though I'd never seen her in pictures. LOL She was sooooooooooooo cool! Funny and she totally reminded me of my sister! I kept saying that. Her personality! A LOT of fun! Her kids were so cute & sweet too! One of her little boys was all in LOVE with Sofia. He would come up to her and let her smack and pinch his face. LOL I was like, "OMG, Sofia... be gentle!" But of course, my 5 month old doesn't understand yet. Her little boy kept coming back for more. It was HILLARIOUS! It was like he WANTED her to smack him and stuff... OH and he gave her her FIRST kiss. He kissed her a bunch of times. It was sooooooooo cute! I got in in pictures. Daddy's gonna flip when he sees them. HAHAHA So cute.

Who's that girl?

Then last, arrived Ana Banana! Her and Vero had met once before so they were like, "OMG! Last time I saw you, you had that little one [she pointed towards Vero's baby BABY] in your belly!" haha Ana was just as pretty as she looked in her pictures. She was sooooooooo sweet, talkative and funny too! It was so nice to finally meet my twin! LOL Her and Vero ended up paying for Lunch. They got sneaky and paid for it when we weren't looking. Thanks for the millionth time, you two! That was soooooo sweet!

Tocayitas!

After we had Lunch, we went to buy dessert. We had this mexican shaved ice typed drink called, "Diablito". It is made out of shaved ice and they add liquid hot sauce, tamarind, chamoy, lemon juice and salt. Oh, and you sprinkle it with powdered chile too! OMG, that drink is to DIE for! If you like spicy, hot stuff, you'd love it. We did! I had to have one before I go back to San Antonio. At least ONCE. I always grab one everytime I come to Cali. Sent my blood pressure sky rocket for the rest of the day but I haven't had one in over 2 years so that was it for me. I'm good for the next few years! haha

Afterwards, we headed back to the main plaza and sat on a bench and just chit chatted. We were crakin' jokes, talking about life in L.A. We watched some aztec dancers and stuff... It was fun! We all got a long great. It was great to meet the girls in person. I knew they were awesome but just by meeting them made me realize how much in common we all three have. I'd do it again. It's a shame I won't be here longer because I'd totally get together again with them.

I'm heading up to Bakersfield on Sunday morning. My sister is baptizing her son on Saturday and holding a reception in Redondo Beach. That should be fun! Then I ride back with Sofia with my Mom. Hubby flies in next week. I can't wait to see him. I miss him so MUCH! I miss our home! I don't miss the weather though. I wish we had L.A. weather. It's perfect all year round. *sigh* [/hidepost]
Anyway... I could go on AND ON about what I've been up to while I've been here but this post would never end. I hope you made it to the end. I have attached some pictures we took while here. I'll update again soon, I hope! Hope everyone's doing well!
