Sept 2008.

MeI finally received in the mail today something I was anxiously waiting for! A few weeks ago I mentioned how Joe and I had found out where we were going? Well... sorta? But it wasn't 100% official? Well... now it's 99% official. There's always that 1% chance they could change it last minute! LOL And being in the military, that isn't surprising. It also isn't 100% official until we get official orders (paperwork) telling us when Joe's supposed to report to duty. We're waiting on those. So we'll see! Anyway... I was so bummed I couldn't share the news but Joe's given me the green light. We're moving to NEW MEXICO! YES! OMG... I'm sooooooooo freakin' excited, you don't even know! GAHHHHHH!!!! I've been in love with that state since 2000 when Joe and I have came back to the state from living overseas in Japan. We purchased a car in Japan to pick up here when we got back and the only place we could pick it up was in Albuquerque, NM. So while we were there, we drove to White Sands. And right next to White Sands is a base as well. We went to it to buy some stuff at their grocery store and I fell in love with the base too! I remember telling Joe, "Babe! I want us to get stationed here! I love it!" It felt right at home for me for some reason. Crazy how now 8 years later, we finally get orders there! YESSSSSS! Woohoooo!

MeIt's so gorgeous there, seriously. Joe says, "It's nothing like San Antonio. It's very quiet. You gotta drive out far to get to the city..." yada yada. Ummm... I don't care. Like we do anything here anyway! LOL We always stay home. I love staying at home. I love living in places where it's quiet and away from the crazy city. I've always been that way. So I know we'll be fine. I know I'll love it. We got the mountains right up there too. It snows up there in the winter. And we can go camping! Gahhhh! Another great thing about moving there is that we'll have family nearby. They live in the same city we're moving to so that's gonna be awesome. Having family around on the weekends and stuff. Going places... ahhh! Sofia's gonna be 10 months old by then. She'll be able to enjoy things too. (Can you tell I'm excited!) I had to share cause I got my vacation guide in the mail today. I requested one online from the New Mexico Tourism website a few weeks ago and I finally got it. I mainly wanted it to see what cool events they have. What restaurants, tourists attractions they have. Dudeeeee... I'm SO not missing the "Hot Air Balloon Fiesta". OMG... So many neat things to see! I'm gonna dieeeeeeee... Ok. Bye now. LOL (Gonna finish packing)

  2. My BF went to college in New Mexico and goes back every year. That is also when she learned to love those hot peppers that start with a J and the smell of them almost made me upchuck last night. She keeps threating to "drag my ass" there to see the full beauty of it.
