He loves pistachios!

We are getting a care package together for my hubby. This will be his second care package. My goal is to send him one every month while he's gone. 1 down - 5 more to go! LOL He loved his last package. It was pretty heavy! LOL I sent him some canned goods, lotions, aftershave, candy, LOTS of candy, coffee... HAHA! And I forgot what else. But it was a lot of stuff. Anyway... I'm not telling you all that I'm sending him in this box because I like to surprise him but it's going to be another big box. He did have special requests this time. One of them was green and red pistachios. So Sofia took off to visit the nearby McGinn's Pistachio Tree Ranch. I don't think we've ever been to it. And it's so close to it! It was really nice. Sofia enjoyed it a lot. Here are some pictures I took there with my handy dandy iPod Touch and Hipstamatic app (my favorite!). Enjoy!

This was the greeter. He's not real - obviously! But you can press a red button and he tells you the history of the pistachio ranch. It freaked Sofia out a little bit. LOL!

The parking sign really cracked me up! HAHA! Oh and they have BIG fish by the entrance. They freaked Sofia out a little bit too. LOL

It was bit of a windy day... but that's a norm around here around this time of year.




I might have to go back again to buy some pistachios for myself. They have all different kinds... Mmm! I bought the hubby the green and red chile kind. Can't wait for you to get them, hubby!

Today:

Not much...

I painted the wall in my bedroom! I'll post pics later... I couldn't find my gadgets to take pics. LOL I'm so unorganized... Sofia helped too! She's such a good helper. I love this new stage she's in. She wants to help with everything. *hehe* I'm taking advantage to the MAX.

Sofia's not feeling too well today. She has a cough and started running a mild fever mid day. She wanted to snuggle a lot and lay down most of the day. Which I didn't mind! I just hate to see her feeling sick. I gave her something to reduce the fever and she's feeling better. Thank GOD!

Talked to the Landlord about replacing our water softener. It hasn't been working since last year and the company she decided to go with has been leaving us hanging for ever. MONTHS! They are horrible. So we are going with a different water softener company. It'll be more expensive for her but she said she's tired of this other company giving us the run around. I'm so glad I've been nagging her about it. Our water is really hard. Yuck!

Other than that... mellow day. Doc appointment tomorrow! Eeesh...
