Wow! Ok! So... it's been a while. I'm so sorry for the lack of posts. No excuse really. Just been trying to ride out and keep busy while my husband is away on deployment. Already been over a month since my last post. Gosh, time flies! Let's see... what has happened? Sofia and I went to Cali late last month to spend a few weeks there with my familia and visited my in-laws as well. I wish I could have stayed longer but unfortunately I couldn't since I have 3 pets to tend to back home. Two weeks was the longest I could be gone and ask someone to watch them for me. They had to come to my house - feed them, give them water, walk them, you know the drill. The great thing was that we took the train back home with my Mom for the first time. It was a GREAT experience. I hope to be able to travel by train again soon! Like I said, Mom came back with us and stayed a week here with us. It was so much fun! We did so much shopping, it's ridiculous. LOL! We are such bad influences on one another... *hehe*
The following weekend after she left, she stopped by here again on her way to Mexico. My parents and my brother spent the night here and then left the following morning. The awesome thing about that as well was that they were going to come and visit it again in two weeks on their way back from Mexico. And my little brother decided to spend a few weeks with Sofia and I here. Isn't that awesome? It's definitely a blessing to be able to have him here. It gets so lonely without my hubby. I'm sad he's leaving next weekend but we enjoyed him as much as we could. [smile]
We have gotten to talk to my husband almost every day while he's been away on deployment. Granted they are only 15 minute chats [if we have a good connection, longer!] but at least we get to see him everyday. It helps a lot because Sofia misses him but just being able to see him everyday on the computer makes us feel in a sense that he's not gone. I'm doing much better with this deployment. The days definitely get easier. I have my days where I miss him terribly but at least I don't cry like a baby anymore. He's coming back. And I'm happy to say we're past halfway done with this deployment! Yay! Other than that... same ol' same ol'.
I'm going to try to blog more often. I have so many pictures to share with y'all. I know there are one or two peeps that still read my blog every now and then! haha
