We're all drinking GREEN!

Remember I was talking the other day about trying to eat more healthier? And one of my ways to achieve that is by JUICING. Yes, ok, covered that topic already. Well..... I'm so proud to say that I've been sticking to it and believe it or not, I'm feeling a little bit better. Still in pain but in less pain. So that is good, right? Also proud to say that I'm getting my husband and even SOFIA into liking it! Yes, they actually like my green juice! Sofia is a very picking eater so I didn't think she'd go for it but she really liked how it tasted so ooooooh, you know I'm taking advantage! LOL It's a perfect way for me to sneak in those "greens" for her. I was surprised at how much she was bugging me this morning about it. "Mom, is it ready?" "Mom, where's my green juice?!" Oh my word... I couldn't believe my ears...

So... you must be wondering what is in this drink that my 4 year old loves so much? Well... I'll share the recipe with you. It was actually given to me at one of my classes at the "Health Seminar" our church is having. LOVE this seminar, seriously! I am SO looking forward to next Sunday when we go back to the class again. It's a 7 week long course but it's so imformative. I leave really inspired to get healthy after each class.

Here's the recipe I tweaked into my own. I hope you try it. I think you should be able to do this in any regular blender that has a "shake/smoothie" button or setting on it. You HAVE to try it, seriously! And if you do, come back and let me know what you thought about it. Ok? Ok!

GREEN SMOOTHIE

3 cups of Water
1 handful spinach
1 -2 leaves kale
1 whole apple (minus the stem)
1/2 cup of fresh pineapple

Blend all until creamy smooth. Add 2-3 more cups of water and pulse to mix. Drink and enjoy. Adjust the water to the thickness of the smoothie that you desire.
