Daddy video chat playtime.

Having my husband gone on deployment has sucked. Big time. However, I feel like we have it so good compared to other military families who are going through deployment as well. My husband, fortunately, is not in a HOT ZONE, so I don't have to worry about him getting hurt like other wives do. Not to say that he's not doing his part either... I mean, there are terrorists everywhere but fortunately in our case, he's pretty much in a calm zone. Due to this fact, we can talk via video chat on the computer practically every day. Sometimes we'll go a few days without talking but that's usually because the weather messed up their internet and he can't call. I feel so lucky in this dept. We get to talk to him everyday. It's awesome.

He's been gone but in a sense, he's been here with us everyday. Even if it's for 30 minutes a day. We get to see him and talk to him. This has been a blessing definitely for my daughter. She feels like Daddy's not really gone because she gets to talk to him everyday! Sometimes when he calls, she's too busy playing or watching TV. that she doesn't feel like talking to him so she'll say "I'll talk to him tomorrow..."

!

Yeah... we're lucky. A few days ago, she felt like playing "doctor" with him and I captured it all in pictures with my iTouch. It was soooo cute! I wanted share.

I'm so glad we are finally in the single digit #'s as far as weeks go till his deployment ends. It's been sucky, but easier... but still SUCKY. I can't wait for him to help again with the trash, cleaning, dishes...etc. LOL!!!
