Now that hubby's gone we have a ton of time to kill. We're pretty bored at times so I thought, why not work on our yard? It really needs some major TLC. Granted, I might not be able to do it all on my own. There's some stuff that a hoe and a rake just can't fix. LOL! Wait, that sounded bad. haha Anyway, Sofia loves to be outdoors... what kid doesn't huh? So I take advantage and let her run around and play with dirt as much as she wants. I'm thinking I might have to rent a tiller or hire someone to do it for me. There's just too much crap out there. Let me make it clear that this yard was just like this when we moved in. And well, it costs money to give a yard a major makeover so we never did anything about it. But gosh, I'm sick of having an ugly yard! I want a pretty yard where we can hang out. I've always wanted to buy Sofia a little playground/swing set but how can we? With such a yard full of thorn bushes and stuff? Anyway... I'm trying to improve it myself. A little bit at a time. I think it might make a difference, don't you? LOL
You can see how bad the yard is in THIS picture. UGH. Hate it.
And I know it's hard to believe but it was worse. All that in the middle, has been done by us over time. My father in law actually worked on it too when he came over last summer. Bless his heart, he wanted to help make it better too. But nope... didn't work. LOL He tried to grow some grass but as you can see, it's all dirt for the most part. That grass on the left was already there from the last tenants. From what I understand, because the prior tenants, are somehow related to my nephew who lives next door. He says they tried to grow grass on it too but didn't work. I think they actually made it worse. I don't know... Anyway... I hope that by the time my husband come back, it's somewhat better. A girl can only wish.
My plants are growing though! I have so much love for them and am SO proud of them because I planted them from seeds. They are doing good... I can't wait to see them grow!
I'll take new pics in a few weeks to compare. =)
Keep up the good work Ana & Sofia, sooner that you know it will look marvelous.

Go to HomeDepot and ask for free advice on what type of plants grow better in your area. Cactus and the like are nice too!
