Counting Down...

OMG! Look how little Sofia was! This was a little over a year ago. It was taken in April 23, 2008 at my Mom's house on our last visit to Cali. As some of you may know, I mentioned we were going to Cali. Well, we are. I was really freaked out about the whole "Swine Flu" so I was this close to not flying at all from fear of getting sick but I'm a little more relaxed about the situation and we ARE flying out to Cali on Sunday. I'm so excited! I can't wait to see my sister, my Mom, my siblings, MY FRIENDS! ahhh! Gonna be so cool! I have laundry to do on Friday. I'm waiting a little bit because Sofia goes through so much clothes in a week that I'm better off washing her laundry a day or two before I have to pack. We'll see how that goes.

I decided to buy a new sling for me/her! Finally! I was due for a new one. I had one that I used for the longest time but lost it when we moved here. I left it in the laundry room at our hotel in base. I didn't realize it till weeks later so it was too late to try to retrieve it.. PLUS, she was getting too big for it anyway. It was getting a little tight. I purchased this pink Maya sling specially made to carry toddlers so that I can carry her in it when I'm at the airport. I'll be traveling alone with her so it will definitely come in handy. It should arrive today.

And remember how Sofia broke my camera lens? Well, I went ahead and rented a new lens. A GOOD one to use while I'm on vacation. I went ahead and rented a 50mm 1.4 lens from borrowlenses.com First time I've ever ordered from them so I'll let you know how it goes. I made sure to get insurance for it too because you just NEVER know! I should be getting that today. I can't wait to play with it.

I've been doing some research online for tips to entertain your toddler on a flight. I have a good list going on. If you guys have any tips or advice, please share. It'd be greatly appreciated. The good thing is it'll only be a 2hr flight. She'll be sitting on my lap so eek. We'll see how that goes.
